About the Creator of Free Wills Studio

Hi! I’m Ashley Wills, the Founder and Creator of Free Wills Studio. I am a multi-media freelance designer based out of Columbus, Ohio. In 2013, I started this space, in all honesty, out of post-graduation frustration. After earning a BS in Textiles and Clothing and a BA in Costume Design from The Ohio State University in 2011, I entered into the world of full-time retail, not because it was my dream, but because I needed to have an adult job and get a paycheck.

During my senior year of college and my first year in the workforce, I started having a lot of complications with my health as a result of several chronic auto-immune conditions. After struggling to maintain a full-time schedule and continuously feeling worse from it, I decided my body needed a break. I needed more control over my time, my life, and my health. I decided it was time to put my creative talents to work so I took a leap of faith and started working as a freelance designer.

I started out taking random jobs in costume design and fashion styling while working on my original blog, Style On High. As I became more versed in branding, graphic design, and web design, I also began taking on client work in those fields. Thank goodness I love fashion, because these days I am wearing a lot of design hats! And you know what? I have never felt happier or healthier.

Now I won’t sit here and pretend to be the expert in everything entrepreneurial. No, I’m an artist, and I’m still learning a lot when it comes to the business side of things. But what I do know for sure is that I am a passionate student of this topic and I am determined to make a creative business work for me in my life. I am dedicated to the idea of living a fulfilled life and in helping others find that “something” that allows their passions to be realized. So I invite you to join me on this journey as I share my art, my life, and everything I’m learning. Let’s do this together!

I’m thinking if you’ve made it to this point we’re pretty much best friends, right? Well why not make it Facebook official? Or Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest official while you’re at it?

Or better yet? You should probably just subscribe over on the sidebar or follow Free Wills Studio via Bloglovin’ for regular updates on how to make your life and style work for you.

I think this is going to be a beautiful friendship. 🙂
