Local Love: $20 Dates!

I'm so excited to share with you what is quickly becoming my new favorite blog, $20 Dates! Husband-and-wife team, Rob and Jess, created $20 Dates as a way to incorporate their love of food, city life, and each other without the burden of a hefty tab at the end of the night. They challenged themselves to go on at least one date per week, spending a total of just $20- or less! And lucky for us, they blog about all of their creative and fun date ideas, complete with location information, total bills, and lots of cute photos!

Here are my top 5 favorite date ideas from the $20 Dates archives:

Date #16- Volunteer Date @ Furniture Bank of Central Ohio + Tommy's Diner

Helping to build much-needed furniture for local families followed by 50's-style diner food is a feel-good combination!

Date #43- Milestone 229 + Scioto Mile

After a great weekend on the Scioto Mile for the Columbus Arts Festival, I can't wait to go back and dine on Milestone 229's patio!

Date #49- Grass Skirt Tiki Room + Main Library

$3 tiki-inspired drinks, a Thai Pineapple Fried Rice Bowl, and the topiary garden at Downtown's Main Library- yes, please!

Date #56- Name That Tune @ Patrick J's + Hounddog's Three Degree Pizza

This fun date sounds like the perfect way to capitalize on the fiancé's Wikipedia-like music knowledge and my general love of winning. :)

Date #58- Ohio Craft Museum + Local Cantina

A happy cocktail of some of my favorite things- Mexican food, artisan crafts, and free admission and parking!
