Local Love...December in Columbus

With snow on the ground and Black Friday shopping under our belts, the holiday spirit is well under way in Columbus! There are some things that are always on the to-do list this time of year, like seeing the Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo or the Christmas tree at Easton, and some new outings that are non-holiday related, too. Here are some events topping my list this December...

Ohio Statehouse Holiday Festival

Start the 2013 holiday season right with the annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting at the Ohio Statehouse with a night of holiday activities for the whole family. Carolers, refreshments, various craft tables, community mascots and other historical figures, including Santa himself.

 James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner

Indulge in a spectacular multi-course culinary extravaganza at the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour's first-time stop in Ohio. Hosted by Chef Bill Glover and the Gallerie Bar & Bistro at the Hilton Columbus Downtown, the event will feature the best culinary talent from Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, even giving guests an opportunity to meet the chefs!

Short North Arts District Holiday Hop

Take in Columbus' favorite night of the month to celebrate art with over 40 galleries and venues highlighting Ohio up-and-coming artists. Street vendors, musicians, food, and fun make it the epicenter of the High Street Experience.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra
