So we all know that Columbus is the place to be for Halloween festivities, but I bet you didn't know that there also happens to be a lot going on in November around here, too! From today's International Festival to the end of the month's Antique Market, there are plenty of events to keep your calendar full. And by events, I should really say concerts, because, holy cow, are there a ton of concerts this month! I've included my favorites, but make sure to check out Experience Columbus for the full line-up as well as loads and loads of other events that I didn't/couldn't include here. I have, however, left you with 10 pretty awesome options (my faves!) to keep you busy this month. Enjoy!
This larger-than-life festival showcases over 200 booths representing over 80 cultures, with arts, crafts, entertainment, and food from all over the world! Attractions include cultural dances, face painting and games, a global art and paintings gallery, and ethnic culinary classes. Admission: $2-$7, children under 5 are free! 10am-7pm. More info here.
Witness the tour of Pretty Lights' dual-release acclaimed albums, A Color Map of the Sun and Live Studio Sessions From A Color Map of the Sun- said to represent a turning point in Pretty Lights mastermind Derek Vincent Smith's artistic growth. This twist on the traditional bridal show takes couples through three mock themed reception experiences staged by top Columbus professionals. Fun extras like dance lessons, hair and make-up trials, live music, gourmet appetizers, signature drinks, stunning décor ideas, prize giveaways and swag bags for every bride are sure to make it a night to remember! If you didn't get to see any of the American psychedelic rock band's festival appearances this summer, now is your chance to catch their show, as the tour for their long-awaited self-titled third studio album comes to Columbus. A lively holiday craft festival where you can shop handmade crafts and fine arts from over 50 local artists. Shoppers can also enjoy live entertainment, artist demonstrations, make-and-take craft sections, raffle prizes, festival foods, and handmade holiday desserts. Admission: free! 11am-5pm. Experience German Village's charming old world architecture, and feel the influence of its German heritage while sampling the area's best food. Stops include Katzinger's Deli, the original Max and Erma's, Schmidt's Sausage Haus, and Schmidt's Fudge Haus. Admission: $45. 1-4pm. More info here.
