Random Weekly Roundup #19

I'm writing this while watching what is definitely the worst Super Bowl I've ever seen. But on the bright side, I also think it was the best half time show I've ever seen. I mean, seriously, could Bruno Mars be any more amazingly talented? He played drums, sang like an angel, and cut a mean rug. Oh, and he writes not only his own songs, but massive hits for other artists, too. Put all of that in the world's most adorable package and I just can't think of anything better. I obviously loved it.

But in case you didn't, or maybe you spent your night desperately rooting for the Broncos (I feel your pain), hopefully these links I've rounded up from this week might put you in a happier place...

1. Oooooh.....every time I think I don't want to plan a wedding, something beautiful like Jennifer Behr's Spring 2014 collection, seen here on Honestly...WTF, sucks me right back in!  |  2. DIY is changing to DIFM (Do It For Me- patent pending :) ) with this brilliant site, Bow & Drape, that lets you customize your clothing but does the work for you. If only I had thought of that...

3. Clean, modern, and uber-feminine. Issa's Pre-Fall 2014 palette of mostly black and cream with rich pops of emerald, rust, and gold has fall looking luxe.  |  4. Have you seen images of Grace Cathedral's resident artist Anne Patterson's latest installation, Graced with Lightfloating around the web? I wish I could see it in person- so beautiful!

5. Another collection, another inspiring campaign. Karen Walker Visible and United Nations’ ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative have teamed up to create work in community groups of micro-artisans located in Kenya. And as, as usual, the ads are amazing.  |  6. Ok, if this is how Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere looks by 9 am everyday, I can probably wear a little less yoga pants by noon. And for those of you heading to the office, the post also has some great polished-yet-comfy outfit ideas.

And because the sad news of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death has been looming over me today, here's a clip from my all-time favorite movie, Almost Famous. Apropos for an actor who always made "uncool" so likable that even Hollywood had to appreciate it.

Love this idea (so get ready, mom :) ), 10 Questions to Ask Your Mother.
I'm inspired by the vulnerability in this post from Maegan of ...love Maegan (who inspires me a lot) about letting go of grief.

And in my neck of the woods...

Loving this sleek and chic look from The Casual Classic.
And this thrift store refashion from Buttons and Birdcages.
I so want this Brandy Melville tee I saw on Lovely + Rust.

Happy February! Have a lovely week!
