Random Weekly Roundup #37

Around here we're all gearing up for the 4th of July. In our family it's a big occasion, as it's the birthday of both my dad and grandpa. For the Wills clan the 4th of July is like Christmas, if not bigger. It's especially lucky that my grandpa happens to live right on the levy where they do the fireworks show, so we've all got VIP seats right in his front yard. Every year without fail we cookout, play croquet, have cake, and watch the fireworks. And I'm loving it even more with the new generation of little ones in our family. Watching fireworks is cool, but nothing beats watching fireworks with little kids that are getting their minds completely blown.

But until we can all enjoy the spectacle that is Independence Day, let's first enjoy the spectacle that was the internet this week (I'm kind of sorry for that one).

1  Talk about patriotism! I love this collection of All-American style stars, including one of my faves, Dree Hemingway. (Harper's Bazaar)  |  2  Artist Miranda Skoczek's Melbourne home is chock full of inspiring interior design. (The Design Files)

3  Two look books I'm obsessing over: Mr. Kate's RAWR! jewelry collection is both delicate and animalistic (Because I'm Addicted) and Self Portrait's latest collection of architecturally impressive silhouettes with gorgeous lace paneling is a textural masterpiece (HonestlyWTF).

And because I've been a little candy-color obsessed lately (see here and here), I thought it apropos to take a good long look at what we all used to think was cool. Although I would recommend watching the whole thing for some solid Discman action and incredibly dramatic lip-syncing, skip to 3:02-3:10 for the real magic. (You Tube)

But there's so much more!...

This eyeliner just jumped to the top of my wishlist. (Nylon)

Have you seen the pics from North West's Kidchella birthday bash? (Lucky)

Drug mules? Social media platforms? Nothing like a few good fashion puns. (Man Repeller)

Healthy snack ideas under 200 calories. Put me down for one of each. (I Heart Vegetables)

Essentially this is just a lot of people wearing a lot of blue but non essentially it is so much more than that. (HonestlyWTF)

A great date night look (with an amazing jacket) that's $34 head-to-toe?! Believe it. (Thrift and Shout)

Trying really hard to be mindful of these 16 common spelling mistakes. (The Muse)

A great line of graphic tees by a local Columbus-based designer. (Luciana)

And speaking of tees, the perfect way to update some for summer. (I Spy DIY)

What do you make of this week's links? Let's get philosophical in the comments section!

And in the immortal words of Ms. Moore,

I'll be forever yours. Love always,
