Weekly Roundup 34/52

Ahh, the glory of a routine. Or at least the semblance of one. This month I've had two temporary homes while relocating cities. Zach and I are living in Dayton currently, where our families are from, while working on making the transition from Columbus to Cincinnati. It's been a little crazy - Zach's still been working in Columbus and I'm trying to get ready for the Fashion Meets Music Festival - but it's something we've wanted to do for a while, so we're making it work. I'm currently renting a room with my friends for a couple of months and then, job-status-depending, we'll eventually make the move further south. I've felt like a vagabond at times, so it feels good to finally be settled in and getting back into the swing of things.

I haven't posted a links roundup in a couple of weeks, so that means I've got a lot of great finds for you! I've also got a few giveaways I'm excited about planned over the next few weeks, so you probably want to make sure you're subscribed to blog posts so you don't miss out! Now, onto the links!

1  Karen Walker's campaigns are always impactful, and the most recent, Magic Hands, a collaboration with Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style is a match made in heaven. It stars the hands of a couple of truly fascinating women decked out in the coolest rings, proving style gets better with age. (Karen Walker)  |  2  The nosy Nancy in me really loved reading these stories behind the tattoos of strangers. (Man Repeller)

3  I love learning about the schedules of artists. It's a fascinatingly tough balance to achieve between strict self-discipline and creative freedom. This look into a day-in-the-life of designer Rachel Castle is a part of one of my favorite blog series, Extraordinary Routines. (The Design Files)  |  4  I am so inspired by the inventive silhouettes and textures in Claudia Li's Fall '16 collection. I'm especially impressed with how she uses common materials, like denim and yarn, to create such dreamy pieces. I mean, look at those sleeves! (Honestly WTF)

5  So I'm not exactly in the "back to school" demographic (like even a little bit), but I still thought all three of the styles in this tutorial were really pretty and perfect for adults and teens alike. (Kayley Melissa)

Also click-worthy...

Loving the prints and pj-shapes in the Drakes x J. Crew collab.

A lovely lavendar and vanilla body butter DIY.

I'm crazy for these earrings.

Love this series and these pics.

This just might be the sports bra of this busty gal's dreams.

Have you entered my giveaway with Latherology yet?

Weekly Roundup 14/52

It's officially my birthday weekend! Let's start it off by celebrating my favorite links of the week! Are you in? Cool. Let's get this party started!

1  I would have never thought to DIY a filing cabinet to look like a public trash can, but the result is surprisingly clever and super cute. Don't you think? (Studio DIY)  |   2  I loved this piece on quirky textile artist, Kate Jenkins, who knits unexpected everyday items like sardines and sausages. Her life is focused, fascinating, and completely out-of-the-box. (We Are Scout)

3  One of my favorite jewelry designers launched a gorgeous seascape-inspired collection that would be perfect to wear to a beach wedding. I want ALL of those rings. (Melissa Joy Manning)  |  4  I melted over this charming animal-themed nursery room that walks the perfect line between designer chic and adorably sweet. (Cup of Jo)

5  I'm sure most of you have already seen this by now, but let's be honest, it cannot be watched too many times. The roller skating bit is comedic gold. And the end? I'm dead.

Weekly Roundup 8/52

Hi friends! It's time for my favorite links from around the world wide web this week...

1  How cool is this DIY sticker cake? It's made from edible printer ink and decorating sheets. (Aww, Sam)  |  2   I find these colorful and whimsical paintings from artist Olaf Hajek so inspiring. (Honestly WTF)

3  Isn't this DIY Copper Pipe Child's Desk so beautiful? And it really doesn't seem all that complicated. (A Beautiful Mess)  |  4  You guys, I am drooling over this Pistachio Pear Ice Cream. It's like my dream flavor. Plus World Pistachio Day is this Friday, so you should probably make some and invite me over, right? (Paper & Stitch)

5  In case you need a good laugh, Ellen in Adele's ear.

Weekly Roundup 5/52

Hey internet friends! Thanks for checking in for this week's links roundup. Here are some of the things I've been loving lately.

1  Artist Malu Stewart blend the worlds of fine art and crafts by taking pieces like well-known Monet works and reinterpreting them using everyday objects, such as pipe cleaners. It's kind of mesmerizing. (Design Sponge)  |  2  From the artful cookies to the bold color palette, this rosé soireé is such a great party idea for a Galentine's Day party or even a bridal shower. (Style Me Pretty)

3  I don't know if I've been living under a boring, sprinkle-free, non-magical rock, but I had never heard of unicorn bars before seeing this post. I mean, are they a thing? I don't know, but I'm a believer regardless. Don't they just look like sweet sugary heaven? (Cookies & Cups)  |  4  I love this idea from one of my favorite art blogs. If the start of February has you stepping back and reassessing your goals for the new year, this idea of sketching or collaging your intentions might help to reinvigorate them and refocus yourself. (Alisa Burke)

5  And finally, the perfect Valentine's date night look. ;)

And some more...

Printable Bowie valentines.

Seriously, how pretty is Julianne Moore in this?

LOL. People that look like their surroundings.

Target hacks.

Am I the only one nerding out about this?

Love this jacket.

This pretty pillow.

And this perfect boho look.

Weekend Reading Vol. 3

I spend a lot of time on the internet, so I figured it's only polite to share my favorite links with you. Here are my top picks this week...

1  I love the idea behind this Instagram account, Subway Book Review, where strangers on the subway give personal summaries of what they're reading. (Instagram)  |  2  I've been daydreaming about this Cherry Mocha Smoothie ever since I saw the recipe. It sounds ah-maaaazing! (Hummusapien)

3  A gorgeous hand-written rainbow thank you card (and you can download it for yourself!) (Enjoy It by Elise Blaha Cripe)  |  4  I've been wanting to try rose gold hair for a while now and I think this subtle (and very non-committal) DIY may have just sealed the deal. (The Beauty Department)

5  Get out your note taking tools. This is some very essential advice for getting your perfect swimsuit body. (Miss Kris)

Isn't that a refreshing take on all the crazy body obsession going on this time of year? I love her.

And I love these...

This post is a great resource for bloggers.

Such a gorgeous jewelry collaboration.

The taco is here!

I REALLY want this and these.

Loved this BTS peek into Studio DIY.

Are you using all these iPhone tips and tricks?

I want to paint something exactly like this.

Fiiiiiine.... I'll eat this.
