The Best of the Blogs: June Edition

You've heard me lament too many times before about my dislike for the summer season. And a big reason is that, as much as I love clothes, summer style is not my thing. Limited layers means limited styling options and the general casualness of everything really disagrees with my more is better (colors, patterns, textures, layers) approach to clothing. So instead of dwelling on the less desirable facets to summer dressing, let's look to the pros to see some of the best ways to have big style this season. These bloggers are getting it right!

This month I've really been loving two opposite color extremes.

1. Summer Brights

Like this cute and casual look seen at Because Shanna Said So.... Fruit and polka dots are about as upbeat and summery as it gets!

And these wedding-perfect classic bright looks at Pink Peonies (above) and Atlantic-Pacific (below).

and 2. Easy Neutrals

Breezy black and white prints look are a beautiful take on summer style, seen above in the Inwear Summer campaign via Blame It On Fashion and  below via eat.sleep.wear.

And nothing looks cooler in warm weather than slouchy separates.

Grungy neutrals hit the perfect chord, as seen on Styleseer (here and here).
