Top 10 Tuesday...Art Movement Dresses Under $100

So I wish I was getting this Top 10 in before almost midnight, but sometimes (especially on Tuesdays) that's how it goes around here. Plus I didn't want to miss a chance to connect with Miche from Buttons and Birdcages for Link up the Love. But more on the that later. For now let's talk art. One of my very first style posts, about a year ago, was about the art movement in fashion. And twelves months have come and gone and we're all still interested in how art is inspiring fashion and how fashion is integrating art. It's not a new or groundbreaking idea but it is an almost perfect one.

Art as a part of fashion (see Chanel, Prada, Celine, etc.) lends a touch of highbrow intellect and gravitas to what can be seen as a frivolous industry. Fashion, meanwhile, returns the favor by injecting a dose a of excitement and easy marketability into the art world.

I get really excited for designer/artist collaborations. Prada's spring collection, for example, featuring women's faces created by contemporary street artists, in my opinion, was one of the most memorable and inspiring shows from fashion week. But unfortunately, as a "starving artist" myself, I'm not picking up a Prada face dress anytime soon.

And that's where the retail food chain comes in. With stores like Topshop and Zara all over the fashion industry and art world merger, it's a better time than ever to jump on the painterly band wagon. Need a push start? Here are my Top 10 picks of art-inspired dresses- all under $100!

And now onto this week's love!...

(To join just share something nice about someone else on any form of social media and then add your link here.)

My family, especially my sisters and my almost mother-in-law, have been really supportive and helpful with my new stylist role with Stella & Dot and it really means the world to me.

And speaking of those three, I have to love on them a little more...

Every time I see my older sister and her family, I'm totally blown away by what a great job she's doing as a mom. Plus, she made my two favorite people in the world, so that's pretty impressive. :)

My younger sister is doing such a great job on her health/fitness kick that she's completely inspiring me to get my butt in gear! I love that when she goes for it, she gives it 100%.

My future mom-in-law (my fiance's mother) is one of the nicest, most easy-going people I've ever met. And I'm so glad that she has a such a close relationship with her son. I'm pretty sure I owe her big time for how kind, patient, and loving he is to me.

And that's it for this week's double feature! I'd love to hear what you think about any and all aspects of this post in the comments section!
