Links on a Wednesday? Yep, you got it! I wanted to shake up my regular link roundup for the New Year and I figured we could all use a little light entertainment in the middle of the workweek, right?
So let's kick this thing off with my favorite links of 2016, so far...
1 I was so excited to see a Dayton-area blogger, Sarah Gibson from Room for Tuesday, featured on ABM's home tours. Go Sarah! (A Beautiful Mess) | 2 I'm always fascinated by anything Wes Anderson-related, and after recently working on a film myself, this article on Annie Atkins, graphic designer for The Grand Budapest Hotel, resonated even deeper with me. For those interested, this is a great behind-the-scenes look at some of what goes into designing for a movie. (It's Nice That)
3 Photographer Christopher Payne's project, Textiles, gives such a cool, colorful look at America's textile industry. In my dreamworld I would have a gallery wall of these images. (My Modern Met) | 4 I always love these "Career Day" posts, so I was especially excited to see the latest subject, one of my favorite bloggers, Justina Blakeney of The Jungalow, giving a look into her world of prop styling. (Oh Joy!)
5 Isn't this Vegan Bruleed Meyer Lemon Tart with Pistachio Crust (that's a mouthful!) from Columbus blogger, Maria, just about the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? (Sift & Whisk) | 6 And, finally, I thought fiber artist Danielle Clough's use of vintage tennis and badminton racquets as the base for her floral embroidery art was one of the most ingenious ideas I've seen in a while. Aren't they great?! (Honestly WTF)
But wait! There's more...
This post is giving me MAJOR design inspo.
Conquer those resolutions with this trick for increasing your willpower.
How cute is this little luggage-inspired bag?
Super-chic frames that don't break the bank.
Children's books with female heroines.
Great IKEA hacks for a 2016 home update.
And finally, do you know the difference between your oxfords and your brogues?
